ABOUT US:
Stingray Studios is a new video game and animation company headed up by co-founders Ben Riley and Chris Erickson. The two first crossed paths while working together on cinematics for Epic Games’ Fortnite and realized the amazing potential in a joint venture. They are now putting together their collective experience in the game and film industries to create their first original game.
Chris Erickson began his career at Walt Disney Animation Studios where he worked on titles such as Big Hero 6, Zootopia, and Moana before moving on to work for Blizzard Cinematics on games such as Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and more. There, he entered the world of real-time rendering which would ultimately influence his career towards game development where he’s worked extensively on Fortnite cinematics and live events. It’s during this experience he met Ben Riley who would share the long time dream of starting their own studio.
THE CO-FOUNDERS:
Ben Riley began his career developing XR experiences in the edutainment space, blending emerging technology with storytelling. He later moved into the VFX industry, contributing to projects like Skytribe, Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, and others. Most recently, Ben led the technical art department at Evil Eye Pictures, where he worked on Fortnite cinematics and live events. It was during this time he met Chris Erickson — a collaboration that would eventually lead to founding Stingray Studios.
